📣 1st Fire International Conference 📣
Indonesian Meteorological, Climatological and Geophysical Agency (BMKG) predicted that El-Nino phenomenon will rise in the second semester of 2023, bring the severe impact on decreasing rainfall and, in turn, causing catastrophic meteorological drought and escalate the vulnerability to forest and land fires in some fire-prone areas, especially on peatland areas.
To share experiences from various stakeholders on forest and land fires prevention especially in anticipating this El-Nino impact, Faculty of Forestry and Environment, IPB University and France Embassy will conduct 1st Fire International Conference : “Strengthening Collaboration on Global Forest and Land Fire Management”.
The conference will present some outstanding speakers coming from Indonesia, France, Malaysia, Germany, Japan and Thailand.
